IMPORTANT INFO HERE!
Nackawic's ambulance will no longer ALWAYS be the same unit. With the provincial changes taking place, their trucks will rotate around based on which truck needs maintenance and service. Because of this, as of now, they will no longer have a radio installed in their truck that will allow us to contact them as we have been (on our radio channel). From now on, we will have to depend on the paramedics carrying portable radios. Some will, and some won't. The long and short of it is that two things will now have to change for contacting them by radio:
1. Their new call sign will be NACKAWIC EMS
2. If they do not answer, there is a good chance that they are not carrying a radio and you will not be able to contact them on our radio channel during that call. Officers may be able to contact them by other means, and this will be discussed in more depth at our next meeting.
